Adventure Unlimited, founded in 1976, has grown to be the largest and one of the most respected group tour operators in the getaway winter weekend industry. Adventure Unlimited has earned the reputation as a reliable, quality-oriented, and value-priced tour operator, marketing travel programs to groups of all sizes on the East Coast. Our diverse client base ranges from private groups, churches, social clubs, and travel agencies, to corporate clientele.

One can trace the growth of the company from its beginning when Adventure Unlimited was based in a small home on Jessup Street, in center city Philadelphia. Within a short time, rapid growth moved the company to an office building on Chestnut Street. There was one training meeting held for the 12 P.C.s escorting those first trips. That first season Adventure Unlimited hosted 2800 people on its tours. As time went by, the number of passengers operated increased by tremendous proportions. Today, the company hosts almost 40,000 people on its tour series during the winter months.

In 1980, a Printing Department was established to handle itineraries. Our capabilities have grown tremendously. We now design, typeset, and print over 98% of our forms, worksheets, advertising materials, and training materials. Imagine during the months from August through December, Adventure Unlimited prints over 1 million customized advertising flyers just for its group leaders. In 1986, the owners of the company purchased a building and moved Adventure Unlimited to its new corporate headquarters in prestigious Cherry Hill, NJ.

Lease-A-Ski Corporation was established to position ski rental shops in most of our hotels and resorts. This afforded our customers the convenience of renting ski equipment Friday night within the hotel where they were staying. Certification classes were instituted to train all staff working for Lease-A-Ski. We are proud to say that according to Chris Gurell, Director with the National Ski Patrol, "Lease-A-Ski has the best safety record of all others in the winter weekend industry."

As the company grew during the early years, the demand for staff grew dramatically and management positions were created. Adventure Unlimited was the first tour operator of its kind to develop and utilize in depth training programs for all personnel. Currently, the number of field personnel is well over 1000. From that one class for P.C.s in 1976, we now offer the most extensive training program in the industry. We recruit from eight different geographical locations and offer in excess of 30 training classes.

From the very beginning, Adventure Unlimited recognized the importance of a strong relationship with its weekend staff. An end of season staff weekend was instituted, called "Blowout Weekend." This annual event has become one of the cornerstones of the close interpersonal relationships that have developed amongst our staff. As part of the ongoing emphasis to prepare and train our staff, we were the first company to implement the Staff Familiarization Trip. Add to this, parties periodically, staff newsletters and a variety of trips -- one can see that an association with Adventure Unlimited has the potential for much more than just working for a company.

Do you want a huge selection of locations to travel to during the winter months? Adventure Unlimited offers 16 locations within the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania. How about a vast selection of ski areas? There are over 25 different ski areas from which to choose. For those who are not interested in skiing, many non-ski winter activities such as skating, horseback riding, and bowling parties are available to our staff.
